Components are all the elements of a part. There are 4 types of components: individual components, materials, composites and coatings. You can recognize these by their respective symbol in the tree.
After you have selected a component, the component tree is displayed on the left side. The component is structured as a tree according to the data from the CAD model. Each component in the tree has its own information and test planing.
Collapse/Expand component tree
Click on the icon with the arrow up and down in the left sidebar to collapse the entire component tree. To expand the entire component tree again, click on the main component. If you want to expand or collapse only one (sub-)component, click on the arrow in front of the component you want to expand or collapse.
To change the structure of the component, click on the component you want to move and hold down the left mouse button. Then drag the component to the position you want to move it and release the mouse button.
You can add a folder at any point in the component tree. To do this, either click on the plus sign (+) at the top right of the left sidebar or right-click on a component and then select Folder.
To add a (sub-)component, either click on the plus sign (+) in the top right corner of the left sidebar or right-click on a component and then select Add.

You can rename the respective component by double-clicking on it. The change is confirmed by hitting Enter.

Add photo of the component
You can add a photo of the current view to the selected component by clicking the camera icon in the details panel.
To delete a component, click on the recycle bin at the top right of the details panel or right-click on a component and then select Delete.
Only non-delegated sub-components can be deleted.
