The sampling process

Sampling with takes place in 6 steps, which are supported at many points by automated processes.

1. Providing the 3D data and material requirements

2. Test planning and collection of material information

Schedule test

Test standards read from the JT file are automatically added to the test planning of the corresponding individual component. If a standard is not yet fully configured, the user must complete the configuration. The user can also add standards manually at any time.

After all necessary standards have been added, the test scope can be edited. Certain test methods or preconditions of a standard can be deactivated, if they are not relevant for the sampling process of a component.

Enter material information

Material information as well as all other data relevant to the sampling process is provided by forms in the Information area of the component. Forms are added automatically when required by a norm. In addition, users can add forms manually.

Delegate: As a supplier, you can delegate components that you purchase to another supplier. This way, the test planning and execution as well as the collection of information is carried out by your supplier. You subsequently receive the data via the platform.

3. Testing

To generate test results, a user can either commission a laboratory via the platform or record test results that are available from existing test reports. A standard can be divided into several test orders and can also be assigned multiple times.

4. Review of the test results and transmission to the client

As soon as test results are available, they can be evaluated. The automatic evaluation with the target values, which marks the values according to the traffic light system, helps here. In the event of discrepancies in the test results from a laboratory order, these can also be rejected.

After all test results have been viewed, the user can select which test results are supposed to be transmitted to the client.

5. Data is checked against specifications and automatically pre-evaluated

For the evaluation, the OEM receives all pre-assessed test results and material information from its supplier. The decision on the release of the component is made directly on the platform. If approval is granted, the sampling process is completed. Otherwise, the OEM can request the supplier to make subsequent improvements.

6. Archiving of the sampling data transfers the digital sampling data to the client's system via an interface.
